We aim to foster novel research collaborations between Artificial Intelligence and Veterinary Academics and Professionals, as well as Animal Ethologists, Behaviorists, and more.

We are seeking industry partnerships that can be leveraged both within academia and industry.

Private animal owners are a key part of our community, as our research efforts directly impact their understanding, interaction, and general care of their animals.

Current activities include:

Research Activities: Partnerships focused on in house data scanning, data collection in the field, AI models trained on in situ animal monitoring, computer vision for equine lameness detection, and more.

Webinars: These are a series of quarterly webinars presented by experts covering topics such as using AI to better understand lameness detection, 3-D animal modeling, and pose / gesture analysis. Upcoming webinars will be focusing on using AI to detect pain in horses, AI in equine surgical techniques, and more.

Workshops: These are a series of in person as well as virtual workshops focused on idea generation, networking, data collection, and are designed to foster collaborations between different professional groups within AI and Veterinary Medicine from a variety of backgrounds.
